Help Maria's Dream Come True!

Miss Maria Okese is a twenty-four year old Orphan, a fast learner and very amiable. She is Deaf but communicates excellently with sign language and averagely in written English language. Maria graduated from the Special Needs School in 2013 and was one of the beneļ¬ciaries who participated in the KIR Foundation's nine (9) months Vocational Training with the Special Needs School Creek Road, Port Harcourt in 2013.

Inclusive Young Leadership Academy (YLA) 2016

As part of the activities to commemorate KIR Foundation’s Global Action Month for Education; KIR Foundation is organizing the 3rd Annual Inclusive Young Leadership Academy (YLA) to build the capacity of the newly elected prefects of twenty (20) selected secondary schools; Private, Public and Special schools in Rivers State.

KIR Foundation commemorated the International Book Giving Day

KIR Foundation commemorated the International Book Giving Day on the 14th day of February 2016, by donating 127 books to Street Child Care Welfare Initiative in Lagos State (SCCWI), 153 books to Ikoyi Prison in Lagos State and 95 books, plus numerous educational supplies to selected vulnerable children of Central State Primary School Igwuruta in Rivers State.

Ten (10) out of school youth with disabilities were given the opportunity to increase their skill set by participating in the Advanced Shoe Making Training organised by KIR Foundation from the 15th to 26th of February 2016.

GSM and Computer Repairs Training at the Special School for Handicapped Children (S.S.H.C)

Barinaale Yaana Giigii is a 20 year senior secondary student of the Special School for Handicapped Children (S.S.H.C). He is one of the fourteen (14) beneficiaries of the GSM and Computer Repairs Vocational Skill Training organized by KIR Foundation.
